Grammatically and meaning-wise there is nothing wrong with this restaurant’s brand. But instead of using “porridge” or “congee” the owner decided to use the word “gruel”.

According to my dictionary, “gruel” as a verb means to cause exhaustion, to punish.

I am not going to “The Village of Punishment”!
