When I was younger, I bought a lot of phrase books of different languages because I just liked languages. When I was at the airport of Bangkok I came across this book. This was not exactly a phrase book but it caught my attention. Note that the targeted audience is the Brits, American, Canadians, and Australians. After reading a few pages, I was completely humbled.
This is the first page about “love”. It is nothing but about picking up local girls in a bar.
15 pages later, it is about dumping the girls. Learn how to say to your girlfriend like: “I have a new girlfriend!” Or, “you don’t interest me any more.” Do they need to say these in Thai?
And this page is about feelings: “That’s typical for you!”, “That’s what you get for it!”
So much about feelings!
