In the news: Manbang: The Netflix of North Korea is here
Well, don’t be fooled by the brand. It is a Netflix-like service available in North Korea showing on-demand propaganda of the country.
But let’s not forget that “Manbang” is also a brand in China, headquartered in Guangzhou. The glory of the name should be shared by the two (if not more “Manbangs” exist in the world)!
For those who have no sense of humor, “Manbang” in Korean here means “ten thousand (many) directions”, while “Manbang” in Chinese here means “beautiful state”.
